Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Denise's creative journey began in her sophomore year of high school after taking a black and white film photography class and learning how to develop and print her own work. The oldest of four siblings (her first muses), her early work earned high praise and recognition from her teachers, and she was published in local magazines and newspapers.
After graduating college with a degree in International Relations and living abroad for two years, she moved to Los Angeles to study directing at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, animation at New York Film Academy and performance at Baron Brown Meisner Studio and Joan Scheckel's Filmmaking Labs. She has since taken up every role under the sun in film production, including director, actor, producer, editor and colorist.
Her recent journey into motherhood has inspired a new focus on family photography. Knowing full well that post-partum life can be an exhausting, overwhelming and deeply lonely experience, Denise hopes to help new mothers capture the beauty and magnificence of bringing new life into this world.
She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son.
